Sometimes when my brain is overflowing and shutting down and my soul hurts more than usual, I lie down on my bedroom floor and put my ear to the baseboards. I listen to the heartbeat of my house, the intestinal rumbling of pipes, the scuttling pulse of a million insects. If I close my eyes tight enough and hold my breath long enough, I can hear my stuffed animals whispering to each other and the ghosts singing in the attic. But when I open my eyes and let my breath, all I can hear is cars and buses and people shouting, and my heart starts to break again because it reminds me of you.

I don't really like it. It makes me feel like the higher pwoers are just showing off. It lacks a sort of homey feel, I guess. I'm not really sure who to describe it.

i totally agree with you, i don't really like it either. It feels really impersonal...something about the old version was comforting and different to other sites...now everything is huge and bold and...I don't know...I just don't like the feel of it very much!
